Book Review: Twisted Love by Ana Huang

by Krista

Synopsis

Alex Volkov is a devil blessed with the face of an angel and cursed with a past he can’t escape. Driven by a tragedy that has haunted him for most of his life, his ruthless pursuits for success and vengeance leave little room for matters of the heart. But when he is forced to look after his best friend’s sister, he starts to feel his heart melt.

Ava Chen is a free spirit trapped by nightmares of a childhood she can’t remember. But despite her broken past, she has never stopped seeing the beauty in the world…including the heart beneath the icy exterior of a man she shouldn’t want. He is her brother’s best friend, after all.

Theirs is a love that was never supposed to happen—but when it does, it unleashes secrets that could destroy them both…and everything they hold dear.

Thoughts

Well, what a firecracker of an introduction to Ana Huang this book was! I had been trying to start the Twisted series for months, and now I am all in. I loved Huang’s immersive storytelling. Bonus points for hot romance scenes that flowed seamlessly with the story.

I enjoyed Ava and Alex’s opposites attract love story. I am a sucker for the brother’s best friend trope, and this is my new favorite. If you love a morally gray alpha male and have not yet read this book, add it to your TBR. The hype is real.
