Synopsis

I waited eight years to marry the father of my children.
I worked at our relationship. I was patient. I forgave—the thoughtless remarks, the disappointments, the test results when I was expecting our youngest that proved he hadn’t been “working late.”

A Bookstagram friend recommended this book to me, so I was happy to have the opportunity to review it. This book just happens to have a few of my favorite tropes: small town, best friend’s brother, and friends to lovers. So, despite its heaviness, I was able to consume this book in one sitting. I enjoyed it especially because it was a bit grittier than the romance novels that I normally read. The story had flawed characters, believable circumstances, and a satisfying HEA.
