Book Review: Flawless by Elsie Silver

by Krista

Synopsis

Rhett Eaton is the face of professional bull riding. The golden boy. Or at least he was until it all blew up in his face after a public brawl. Now his agent says he has to clean up his image, and sticks Rhett with his ball-busting daughter for the rest of the season as “full-time supervision.”

But Rhett doesn’t need a goddamn babysitter—especially one with skin-tight jeans, a sexy smirk, and a mouth she can’t stop running and he can’t stop thinking about.

He quickly learns that Summer Hamilton isn’t just another conquest. She sees the man behind the mask, and she doesn’t run—she pulls him closer, even when she shouldn’t. She says this means nothing, but Rhett says this means everything.

Summer says there are boundaries they shouldn’t cross. And that neither Rhett’s reputation nor her damaged heart can take any more hits. But Rhett says he’s going to steal it anyway.

Thoughts

Thank you, Rhett Eaton, for answering my call for a cowboy romance with your handsome, rough around the edges, country boy self! You, sir, are my newest book boyfriend.

This is my first Elsie Silver book, and oh my, it did not disappoint. It lived up to all of the hype. While contemporary romance is in a class of its own, this is a fine example of a standout story from this genre. Whether you choose it as a main course or a palate cleanser between heavy-hitting thrillers or fantasy novels, a book like this provides such a versatile reading experience.

I thoroughly enjoyed the plot and characters in Flawless. I think Silver did an amazing job of creating a chemistry-fueled romance with some added depth. I look forward to continuing this series. And as you can see, I already picked it up!
