Book Series Review: The Influencer by Amy Lea

♡ Thank you for the free audiobooks, PRH Audio.

February was the perfect month to crack into this series, which had been sitting on my shelf for months. Each book features a different type of social media influencer, which I found a lot of fun. The first book was my favorite because I found Crystal so endearing.

Set on You

Curvy fitness influencer Crystal Chen built her career shattering gym stereotypes. After her recent breakup, she has little stamina left for men, instead finding solace in the gym. Enter firefighter Scott Ritchie, the smug new gym patron who often steals her favorite squat rack. Sparks fly as these competitive foes battle for gym domination. After bonding over family and fitness, they just may have made a match. But when a photo of them goes viral, internet trolls put their new relationship to the ultimate test.

Exes and O’s

Romance novel lover Tara Chen has had her heart broken countless times by men. Still, Tara is determined to find The One. The problem is that meet-cutes are dead thanks to dating apps. So, Tara decides to revisit her exes in hopes of securing a second-chance romance. Firefighter Trevor Metcalfe will be the first to rush into a burning building, but the last to enter a relationship. When his new roommate Tara asks him to help her reconnect with her exes, he reluctantly agrees. But can the two read between the lines of their growing connection?

The Catch

In an effort to rescue her brand, Boston fashion influencer Melanie Karlsen finds herself in a Canadian fishing village. The only thing scarier than nature is the burly and bearded bed-and-breakfast owner and fisherman, Evan Whaler. After a boating accident lands Evan unconscious, Mel is mistaken for his fiancée by his family. Mel agrees to a fake engagement in exchange for Evan’s help with her social media content. But will Mel sacrifice her life in the city for a chance at love in the wild?

☊ Listening to each of these via audiobook was great. Narrators Carolyn Kang, Natalie Naudus, and Kelsey Navarro Foster did a wonderful job!
