After a year of voracious reading and book reviewing, I decided to see if the Kindle lived up to the hype. Spoiler: It did!
I don’t know about you, but my reading preferences are always evolving. As a book collector, I was a diehard hard cover girl since hardbacks are sturdier and make pretty shelf trophies. Then, I realized how many books I could consume via audiobook, while simultaneously working on other tasks. Next, I softened up to an occasional paperback, especially a good, floppy one for cuddling up purposes. The only thing left to tackle was my disdain for e-reading.
During my first year of book blogging, I took on very few e-ARCs because I had a hard time connecting with them. At that time, I read e-ARCs on my iPad or iPhone, both of which worked okay. However, I found the tablet too heavy and the mobile too small to comfortably read on.
After a little research, I decided that a Kindle was worth the risk and investment for me since I take reading and book blogging quite seriously.
The outcome? I am requesting ALL THE E-ARCs… R.I.P., amazing NetGalley feedback ratio!
I truly adore my Kindle. It has made me fall in love with reading in a whole new way.
