I read 264 books this year! The longest book I read was The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas, at 1,276 pages. The oldest book I read was Emma by Jane Austen, published in 1815. I read books in all formats and enjoyed being an early reader of many. I loved reading new releases and chatting with book friends about them. The reading achievement that I am most proud of is sticking to my minimum of one classic per month, which is a goal I will continue next year.
Although it was nearly impossible to cut my list down to 12 favorites, I chose these because they are the books that struck me on an emotional level, immersed me in another world, and I think about again and again.
